Part-Time Skiers

Practices are scheduled on Saturdays only, beginning December 17th. Coaches work on improving each child’s free-skiing techniques and strengthen skiing skills through various activities, including directed free skiing, drill courses and Slalom, Giant Slalom gates, sportsmanship and physical strength. Walmer Club will participate in fun races held at Monarch.

This program requires prior ski lessons and/or participation in Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area’s “Shredders” and/or “Mountaineer” programs. It is designed as an introductory program to the full-time race team. Participants should be able to ski most of the mountain and be able to ride the lift by themselves. Participants should also be able to get ready to go by themselves and be responsible for their own equipment.

Walmer Club Fees

$600, includes Season Pass and 15 days of instruction.

Part-Time Skiers — Expect to:

• Meet at Ski School designated area at 8:45a.m., ready to ski.
• Bring a lunch, snack or money.
• Remember pass
• Have all equipment necessary and extra clothes for the coldest days.
• Be there every Saturday when possible and let coaches know if cannot attend.
• Keep equipment in good order and be responsible for it.
• Have a good attitude and fun!
