Most Race Fact Sheets have some hotel information on them for the area. At the RacesEven though the race usually
does not start until 10:00 a.m.,
your racer needs to meet with
the coaches usually around
7:30-8:00 a.m. at a designated
location so that the team can
get organized, racers can get
their bib numbers, and everyone
can be ready for the first lift
for course inspection. (Coaches
will let you know where and when
at prior practice or you can
always call Danielle at
Make sure your racer has everything he or she needs: warm clothes, water, lunch or money. A designated place to meet you or the team/coaches after race or at a time is helpful. After the first race of the day, you need to get your racers some lunch or snack because they are expected to meet the Coaches on top of the race course for the 2nd run inspection, usually around noon. At larger races, this may all run together so it is good to have a plan. On cold days, it is helpful that you are at the top of the course to take your racers' warm clothing to the bottom of the coarse since they are just in their speed suits. Make sure your racers' name is on their clothes since they all end up in a big pile. Other parents can help out, but racers are usually spread out and too many things to carry makes things difficult. |

Entries for racing attendence
usually are due 3-4 days prior
to the race, so best to be
mailed a week before, with a
copy of your USSA card, on an
USSA Entry Form and a check for
the entry. Racers have to
purchase a lift ticket.
Information will be on Fact
Sheet (some of which might have
to be included at time of
entry). If you have a 5th Grade
Pass or Graduate Pass, you can
purchase your lift ticket the
day of the race. Parent tickets
for a discounted price are
usually available at Race
Headquarters.
