The mission of the Monarch Race Team (MRT) is to provide challenging on-snow learning experiences for intermediate and advanced skiers while competing in the U. S. Ski Racing Association's (USSA) Rocky Mountain Division.
Racers learn techniques and skills that will benefit their competitive skiing and improve each individual skiers ability. MRT will provide competitiveness in a healthy environment while teaching good sportsmanship and team work. MRT will guide young skiers toward the sense of self-discipline, a sense of personal responsibility and independence. MRT racers will train in a safe, effective environment within an atmosphere of mutual respect and (most of all) will have fun!
Monarch Race Team, in conjunction with the Monarch Ski & Snowboard area offers a comprehensive set of specialized development and competitive racing programs that develop an all around skier and can lead to becoming a member of the Monarch Race Team. The programs include the Mountaineers, Walmers and the Race team itself.
